Ericka: What I'm Doing Now

Hi Everyone. I'd love to keep up with the what we're doing now so if you have something, send it my way - kelliebudge@gmail.com. Ericka sent this to me to post several months ago, but I forgot so here it is. Cute picture Ericka!!!

I am the proud mother of Andy who turned 6 last March! He is a mini Easton tho, and keeps me entertained. I've been working at Herff Jones Yearbooks since 1998 and have been a Production Control Clerk since 2005. I love my job, there is never a dull moment and there is always something to do! Last fall a friend talked me into forming a team at work for the Relay for Life. I was able to talk 46 coworkers into helping raise money for the American Cancer Society, we spent a cold night taking turns walking on the track and were able to raise $5100.00. So far our team is in the lead for raising the most money, it was one of the most rewarding opportunities ever! The committee for the 2009 Relay has asked me to be over accounting and registration, so I'm excited to be a part of it again. That's pretty much my life, not too exciting but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

You'll have to keep in touch and maybe I'll see ya at the 15 year reunion.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 10-year reunion. It was great to catch up and see you all. We are looking forward to the big bash that Brittanie & Crew will throw for the 15-year! Please keep us posted on your lives and contact changes.

10 year class reunion this Saturday!

If any of you want to come to our reunion this Saturday at the high school track, we'd love to have you there! We'll be there from noon to three pm. We're having a picnic lunch with games for the adults and the kids. It will be a lot of fun, and we're so excited to see everyone! If you didn't get a chance to RSVP, or didn't hear about it in time, you're still welcome to join us. We planned for enough food for a few extras, and you can pay us at the park. It's $12.50 per adult. Please come!!!!

Are you coming to the reunion?

Since mailing our reunion invitations about a month ago, the number of visitors to our class blog has gone up enormously. That's very exciting that we've been able to reach so many of you! But the big question still remains.... will you be coming to our reunion? Thank you to those that have already RSVP'd, we can't wait to see you! And for those that haven't yet, PLEASE DO! If you have just put it off, do it now. We really want to see as many people as we can.

Why do you have to RSVP? Well it's not to exclude anyone, but more so that we can have the right amount of food. If you know that you are going to attend, but don't have the funds ready right now, than just leave a comment here letting us know you'll be there. I'll add your name to the RSVP list, and you can promise to pay that day. Tickets are just $12.50 per person, and kids are free. It's going to be a lot of fun, with activities planned for everyone and for the kids. We really hope you'll want to come. If you have any questions, leave a comment here.

Becky "What I'm doing now!"

From P-town Idaho, I moved to R-town Idaho, and then to P-town Utah where I met my husband, Brian Johnson. I graduated from BYU and then spent the next two years bringing home the bacon at Oakwood Elementary as a 4th Grade teacher while my Brian finished school at USU and began his career at American Insurance in Salt Lake.

We now live in Stansbury Park, Utah where they are building a new High School. Of course I voted to be the Indians, with Blue and Gold as our colors, but the days of “Indians” are gone I think. Instead we will be the Stallions, with Blue and Black as our color guard.

Isaac is our 3-year-old love. We are blessed to have him in our lives where he brings us lots of joy (most of the time). Brian works hard, like the rest of you men out there…and even some of the ladies. I continue to nurture Jr., tend the garden, indulge in family history, and tend to the household chores.

In our neighborhood, we have three Johnson families, including the Brian Johnson Family, the Brady Johnson family, and another Brian Johnson Family. My Brian is the “Brian the Younger”. --He got that one from his golf buddy. In the world of Johnson's that’s just the way it is…right Jodi Cox Johnson and Ryan Johnson?!

I can’t wait to see all of you August 2nd. Enjoy your summer, and safe and happy trails to P-town, Idaho!

All you need to do to RSVP and register for the reunion is first, pay online using the donate button on the side. The payment is done using PayPal, and goes safely into our Class of 98 savings account. We will be notified that you have paid. Tyra and Brock - "What we're doing now!"

Wanna hear a crazy story? After graduation, Brock Williamson and Tyra Leonard started dating, fell in love, got married and now have 2 cute kids and another on the way. (Yes, THAT Brock Williamson and THAT Tyra Leonard). We know if there would have been a vote, we might have received "Most Unlikely Couple," but we've overcome those odds and have quite the wonderful life together!

After graduation Brock served a mission in British Columbia. He played football at Ricks and then at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania where he earned his BS in Business/Finance. I graduated from Penn State with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. We then moved to Philadelphia where Brock got a job with a financial firm called SEI and I got a job with Vanguard. While there, Brock went to St. Joseph's University and got his Masters in Finance while I had 2 babies. After living away for 6 years, we finally moved back closer to home last fall. Brock still works for SEI but works from our home in Farr West Utah. I work from home trying to raise our kids! We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter Karlee and a 1 year old son Kaden. I'm due with another boy at the beginning of October. So watch out at the reunion...I'll be the one who looks like I'm going to pop! We hope to see everyone there!

Amy - "What I'm doing now!"

I guess I'll go ahead and start the "What I'm Doing Now" posting! During the next few months, I'm hoping that more people will write in with "what they are doing now" too. I hope this won't be too boring for you all....

Since high school graduation, much in my life has changed, but I don't feel I have changed that much. I still love coming home for visits, and I always think about how lucky I was to grow up in such a cool town with such fun school memories. I used to think that getting close to 30 would be very old, well, it's not. I think when we're 80, we'll probably still think we're 30.

In a nutshell... After graduation, I went to Utah State and met my husband Steve the summer after my freshmen year. We had a fun few years and made lots of memories. We lived in a trailor court, ran a marathon, got really involved in student government, sold pest control during the summers, and then had to leave our student life behind. I graduated with a degree in Community Health and worked at the Health Department in Logan doing health promotion activities around the community. My husband's job then took us to Utah County, and I decided to go back to school and get my nursing degree. During that time I had our first baby (Blake, now 3), and my husband quit his job and started up his own business (Shelf Reliance). That was a crazy year. I finished the degree but have had little time to work, with babies coming in quickly. Allison was born a year and a half later (Alli, now 19 months), and then #3 coming 16 months after that (Tyler, now 3 months). The last three years have been a blur! Life goes by so fast! But things are good for me, and I really enjoy being a mother. I feel very fortunate to be able to stay home with my kids. Even though having three under the age of three is a lot of work. :)

I'm really looking forward to the reunion this summer and hope that a lot of you will want to come. I honestly can't believe that we have been graduated from high school that long. I miss you all and hope that life has been good to you. I sent a few emails out asking some of you to email me your "what I'm doing now" update. We'd love to have as many people as we can to write in with their story too. If you'd like to, then email me your update with some pictures and I'll post them in. My email is amykpalmer@yahoo.com.
